SUMMER IN THE SQUARE 2017Back again for another year, our Summer in the Square series features local artists who will regale and entertain you in Norman MacKenzie Square through the warm summer months. Performances will be twice a week, every Tuesday at 4:30pm and Saturday at 12pm, from July 8th to September 5th. So grab a beer at BierCraft Restaurant or a refreshing iced drink from Blenz and sit out on their patios, or take a seat in Norman MacKenzie Square, and see our amazing performers!
A singer, musician, street dancer and actor, Albert Tsai is a local talent that you should definitely keep an eye out for.
Albert has been interested in music for as long as he can
remember, starting with the Disney songs that he grew up with. He picked up the
guitar in his last year of high school, and hasn’t looked back since. He has
performed at various open mic events in Vancouver, with the most prolific one
being the Trees Organic Café Open Mic every Thursday night.
One word to describe his musical style would be ‘Warm’, as
he grew up in the late 90’s with R&B as one of his many influences.
He also takes inspiration from different genres, such as Soul, Jazz, Rock,
Metal, and Electronic music. Armed with his acoustic guitar and a distinctive
voice, he is definitely someone you should keep an eye out for.
