Students from across the city attend Queen Mary for its MACC (multi-age cluster class) program, in which gifted children from Grades 4 to 7 tackle advanced curriculum alongside their peers. Queen Mary also provides the Reading Recovery program, which offers one-on-one tutoring for Grade 1 students that are falling behind in literacy. Fun fact: the school itself, a century-old, cheerful red building, was once Vancouver’s City Hall.
