Faculty Staff Housing & Relocation Services

Are you a newly recruited UBC faculty member still trying to get your bearings on all the crazy details associated with relocating to UBC from afar? Questions about housing, schools, childcare, UBC’s benefits, immigration procedures, how do banks work in Canada, or how to meet other new faculty members, and all sorts of other things from soup to nuts?
Moving to UBC from another city or country can be overwhelming and the Faculty Staff Housing & Relocation Services office is here to help you sort out the tangles. They provide free, confidential, concierge-type information and support for the unique needs of relocating faculty on a drop-in or appointment basis, so you and your family can get on with enjoying your new home.   That includes neutral advice on the range of housing options available to faculty and staff both on and off-campus. They also have a little fun along the way with some social and recreational events for newcomers that can help you meet other families or faculty who have also just arrived.
